CRISPY HASH BROWNS
PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES
COOKING TIME: 15 MINUTES
SERVES: 4
INGREDIENTS
800g Spud Lite potato, grated
1/4 cup cornflour
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
Salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper
spray oil
METHOD
1. Place grated potato in a sieve and rinse until water runs clear. Place between kitchen paper to dry before placing in a medium mixing bowl.
2. Add flour, garlic and onion powders, egg, salt and pepper to the potato, stirring to combine. Evenly divide mixture into four.
3. Preheat air fryer to 180ºC for 10 minutes. Remove basket and spray sides and base with oil. Place . of the potato mixture in basket, spreading evenly to create a disk. Spray the top of the potato and cook for 10 minutes, before turning over and cooking for a further 5 minutes or until golden and crispy. Place hash brown in a warm oven to keep hot. Repeat process with remaining potato mixture.
4. Serve hash browns with a fried egg, bacon and avocado.
